AAU resolves to readmit students in the 2nd Semester

Addis Ababa, August 31, 2001 (WIC) - The Senate of the Addis Ababa University said it has

decided to readmit students who had discontinued their classes in the second semester of

   2000/2001 academic year.

A Press Release by the University's External Relation Office disclosed that the Senate has at

its special meeting yesterday resolved to accept for readmission all students who have

abandoned classes without exception, in the second semester of the 2001/2002 academic

   year.

It said, the Senate, having considered the high number of student population next academic

year resulting from combined intake of the first year students that have discontinued classes

and the fresh enrollments for academic year 2001/2002, has designated a 7-member Technical

Committee that would submit for endorsement, a well-thought-of proposal, for the successful

   conduct of standard teaching-learning-process.
