Sixteen Additional Classrooms Constructed

 

ADDIS ABABA, Feb. 21 (WIC) Sixteen additional classrooms built jointly by Sibiste Negasi and Megabit

28 elementary schools in collaboration with the Addis Ababa Administration was inaugurated here yesterday.

The additional classrooms were built with 994,000 Birr obtained from the World Bank.

 

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Ato Alemayehu Bulcha, head of the Administration's education bureau,

said the two one-storey buildings whose construction started in the first quarter of 1991 (E.C) each consisted

of eight classrooms.

 

Ato Alemayehu indicated that the additional classrooms will enable each of the schools to

accommodate one thousand more students.

 

Ato Alemayehu said the construction of additional schools will facilitate the effective implementation of

the new educational policy.
