Canadian Ambassador Inaugurates School
ADDIS ABABA, June 21 (WIC) – Canadian Ambassador to Ethiopia, John Schram, today inaugurated a primary school, built at a cost of 350,000 Birr in Keransa locality of Siraro woreda, Oromiya Regional State.
The school was built with a 250,000 Birr funding made available by the Canada Fund Local Initiative, while the community and a local NGO contributed the remaining 100,000 Birr, a press release from the Canadian embassy disclosed.
The school is to follow the standard set by the Regional Sectoral Education Programme, and has all the necessary appliance for a modern school, it was leant.
"Today is a wonderful day for you, the Community of Keransa, because you can be sure that you will send your children, both boys and girls to a modern school", Ambassador Schram said at the inauguration.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by officials for the zonal administration the regional education bureau, and the local community.
