Conference on Establishment of anti-AIDS
ADDIS ABABA, Feb. 12 (ENA) – The two-day conference that deliberated on the draft document enabling the establishment of a national anit-AIDS council would up here yesterday.
Speaking at the closing session of the conference, the Vice-Minister of Health, Dr. Lamiso Hayiso, said constructive comments that enriched the document were forwarded during the course of the conference.
The Vice-Minister said the council, which starts its operation soon, would fend off the weakness witnessed in the efforts exerted to prevent and contain the tide of HIV/AIDS in the country.
The council would also help launch concerted efforts to stave off psychological impacts triggered by the pandemic, he said.
