dw79f@nih.gov. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) promotes the
development of international research collaboration on drug abuse and
related health consequences. To achieve this goal, NIDA supports the
INVEST (International Visiting Scientists and Technical Exchange)
Program and its multiple international components: professional
development through fellowships; information exchange and
dissemination; and technical and scientific consultation, including
workshops and conferences. The purpose of this procurement is to
provide management and oversight for the INVEST Program and to insure
the implementation of the required associated program tasks. NIDA
anticipates that a 2-year cost reimbursement type contract with one
additional option year will result from this procurement. RFP No.
N01DA-0-1100 will be available electronically on or about November 18,
1999, and may be accessed through the Internet at the following
address: (URL: http://www.nida.nih.gov/RFP/RFPList.html) Please note
that the RFP for this acquisition will be streamlined to include only
the Work Statement, Deliverables and Reporting Requirements, Special
Requirements and Mandatory Qualifications, Technical Evaluation
Criteria, and other necessary Proposal Preparation Instructions. All
information required for the submission of an offer will be contained
in the electronic RFP package. Following proposal submission and the
initial review process, offerors comprising the competitive range may
be requested to provide additional documentation to the Contracting
Officer. Response to the RFP will be due on or about December 20, 1999.
Any responsible offeror may submit a proposal which will be considered
by the Government. This advertisement does not commit the Government
