ESRDF Launches Four Education Projects In Amhara
Bahir Dar, April 2 (WIC)- The Amhara Branch Office of the Ethiopian Social Rehabilitation and Development Fund
(ESRDF) disclosed that it has launched for education projects in the State.
Mesfin Assefa, Head of the Infrastructure Development Department with the Office, said yesterday that the renovation and up-grading works of two junior high schools and the building of a kindergarten and a library were commenced this month in Bahir Dar.
He said that the projects were among the thirteen education projects the office planned to undertake in the State at a total cost of 13 million birr, of which 10 percent was to be covered by the community.
When all the projects are completed within a year, they are envisaged to benefit 5,000 students in the area.
According to Mesfin, ESRDF had over the past four years carried out 84 education projects in the State at a cost of 66 million birr.
