Ethiopia Elected UNESCO Executive Board Member

Addis Ababa, Nov. 10 (WIC) A meeting of UNESCO General Assembly being held in Paris from November 5 to 16 has unanimously elected Ethiopia as executive board member for the next four years, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced. In a press release it issued today, the Ministry quoted the Ethiopian Embassy in Paris as saying that the other African countries elected along with Ethiopia are Benin, Nigeria, Madagascar, Malawi and Chad. The newly elected executive board members replace those representatives of 32 countries who are just completing their term of duty as executive board members, the release said.
