New German School in Addis Ababa
Inaugurated Near Kabana River

The new German School in Addis Ababa was scheduled to be inaugurated yesterday in the presence of government officials
and German Embassy staff.
The newly constructed buildings, located on the Kabana river, close to the German Embassy compound, provide excellent
facilities for the German teachers and their pupils alike. The school will be one of the most modern and best-equipped
institutions of it kind in the whole region, according to a the German embassy.
Former German Federal President, Prof. Dr. Roman Herzog has sent his personal greetings on the occasion of the inauguration
ceremony: It was Prof. Dr. Roman Herzog himself who during his State visit as German Federal President to Ethiopia in 1996,
broke the ground on the building site.
