Vocational, Technical Schools Readied in Guraghe Zone
Wolkitie, March 26 (WIC)- The Guraghe Zone Education Department said it was equipping seven vocational and technical schools made ready for students leaving 10th grade this year.
Department Head Hussen Abdu said recently that to equip the schools readied in Wolkite, Butajira, Arekit, Gunchirie, Bui, Dalocha and Endibir towns, machineries were being installed and other necessary materials being purchased with an outlay of 2.7 million birr.
He said the schools would give training in auto-mechanics, electronics, commerce and wood works, among others.
Hussen further said, that some 50 teachers selected to teach in the schools were to take their second round training in the near future.
The schools are envisaged to accommodate more than 5,000 students
