Capacity Building Training Underway For High School Teachers In Tigrai
Mekelle, July 11, 2002 (WIC)- The Tigrai State Education Bureau disclosed that fifteen
professors from the United State's Howard University were offering capacity building training
to a total of 250 high school teachers in the State.
Capacity Building Department Head with the Bureau, Tesfaye Wolde-Michael, said that the
training launched yesterday would continue for a period of one month.
He also said the training was being given to English Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology, Physics,
Geography and History teachers.
According to Tesfaye, the capacity building training would play an important role in helping
raise the quality of education in high schools.
The training was being conducted in accordance with the agreement reached between the
State Government and the University, he said, adding that this was the fourth time for the
two parties to organize such training to teachers.
