Jimma University
Receives Over 566,000 Birr Worth Educational Aids

23, 2002 (WIC)-The Jimma
University has received education aid materials worth of 566,000 birr from U.S
based Carter Center.
The donation
includes, 10 computers, eight printers, five video and digital photo cameras as
well as ten scanners.
The university said
that it has also received one Toyota station wagon and 68 teaching and training
textbooks that help victims of illegal and unsafe abortions.
Speaking at the
handing over ceremony, technical advisor to the center, Mrs. Carela Gate said
the center has been providing similar assistance to the various medical
universities and colleges in the country.
She also assured the
willingness of the center to further contribute to the country’s human resource
development as well as supplying training materials.
