It is said that African women are responsible for providing 90 % of the water,
wood and fuel needs of the household. To fulfil this task, they may have to carry water jugs
that weigh as much as 70 pounds and walk 3-6 hours each day. The picture shows an Ethiopian
girl from Wello carrying-out her daily task. But her beautiful Ethiopian smile promises that
change is in horizon and better times are coming.
