Population Office Graduates Trainees
Gambella, March 20 (WIC)- The Gambella State Population Office said it has graduated about 90 civil workers trained to raise the community's awareness about family planning.
Office Head Sande Gachi said today that the training was necessitated, as the level of awareness of the people in the State about family planning was very low.
The civil workers, who underwent a two-month training, had received education on family planning and the prevention and control of HIV/AIDS and harmful traditional practices, Sande said.
During the graduation ceremony held last Sunday, State Council Secretary Ephrem Bedassa called upon the trainees to do their utmost to bring about behaviourial change among the public.
