Prominent Scholars Donate Books to
ADDIS ABABA, Jan. 21 (WIC) – Two prominent scholars have donated through their families various books which they had collected over the years to the Addis Ababa
University (AAU), the university's foreign relations bureau head said. Bureau head Dr. Bruk Hailu told WIC today that the books were donated to AAU under the auspices of the families of the late Dr. Bekele Wolde Medhin and Ambassador Samuel Teferra.
According to the bureau head, Dr. Bekele Wolde Medhin had donated to the Building College various books on engineering which he had collected over the years during his
services in the Addis Ababa University and various other research institutions abroad.
Similarly, Ambassador Samuel Teferra donated to the Ethiopian Research Institute 500 books on history, philosophy, religion, politics and administration which he
had collected during his long diplomatic service abroad.
It is to be recalled that both Dr. Bekele Wolde Medhin and Ambassador Saumuel Teferra passed away recently.
