Philanthropist Donates 360,000 Birr for School Construction
MAKALE, August 3 (WIC) – A philanthropist in Makele town has donated 360,000 Birr towards the cost of the construction of a primary school in Idega Senuy locality of Adwa Woreda, Tigray State.
The Philanthropist Aba Hailemariam Teklehaimanot said he decided to sell his residential house and make the donation out of his concern for the children in the locality, who were not getting education because there was no school in the area.
Aba Hailemariam urged other members of the community to follow suit, and provide assistance for the purchase of school facilities.
An Engineer at the Tigray State Education Bureau said construction on the school started last week with the donated money.
