 Schools Readied For Class


   Maichew, August 20, 2002 (WIC)- The construction of 12 of the 19 primary schools

   launched in South Tigrai zone during the last budget year have reportedly been completed.


   Supervising Engineer with the Zonal Education Department, Tesfaye Adhana told Walta that

   the schools whose construction was funded through loan secured from the World Bank and

   the African Development Bank will enroll 3,000 students who were attending classes in make

   shift huts. 


   The construction of seven other schools was delayed because of capacity limitation on the

   part of the contractors, he said.
