Teachers in Sululta-Mulu Woreda, North Shoa zone, were not paid last month's salaries because these are reported to have  been stolen before reaching them.

Abebe Jera, head of the zonal education department, said that the stolen money, which amounted to over 277,800 birr, was meant to pay 304 teachers and four members of the office staff.
