USA Grants 1.2 million birr for HIV/AIDS Prevention

The American Ambassador to Ethiopia, Tibor Nagy, presented Tuesday a grant of 1.2 million birr to the Ethiopian Islamic
Affairs Supreme Council (EIASC). The grant will be used to undertake HIV/AIDS prevention activities in Oromia, Harari and
Dire Dawa regions.
The grant is funded by the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID) through Pathfinder International.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, Ambassador Nagy said that the signing of the grant agreement between the US government,
Pathfinder International and EIASC was an encouraging sign that effective community level efforts were being undertaken in

initiatives financially and with technical expertise.
