Technical, Vocational Teachers Training Kicks Off

 

 

   Addis Ababa, August 8 (WIC)- The Ministry of Education disclosed that a-three-month

   technical and vocational teachers' training has kicked off all over the country.

 

   Head of public relations office with the Ministry, Berahanu Alebachew told Walta that the

   training was envisaged to upgrade the technical and vocational skills and knowledge of the

   teachers.

 

   According to Berhanu 2,551 teachers to be assigned in 126 technical and vocational centers

   next academic year are participating in the training.

 

   The training will be offered in seven training centers by local and expatriate instructors drawn

   from higher education and factories, it was learnt.

 

   He said that the training will accommodate practical and theoretical aspects of technical and

   vocational education.

 

   Berhanu stressed that teachers who are entitled to teach at the technical and vocational

   schools should at least have first degree according to the new education and training policy.
