Women Deputies Create Forum
AWASSA, Feb. 12 (ENA) – Women members of parliament have created a forum with a view to coordinating their efforts towards realizing women's constitutional rights.
The Forum was formed by a congress held here for the last four days and attended by women MPS in the Houses of Peoples' Representatives and the Federation.
At the end of the congress the participants noted the Forum would be in the vanguard to ensure the rights of women as stipulated in the constitution.
The Forum has formed an executive committee comprising an MP from each state.
The birth of the Forum is believed to facilitate conditions for better consolidating efforts and mobilizing women and resources at all levels towards the attainment of women's social, economic, political and other rights.
